Unfortunatley we just can't seem to get ant kind of decent Internet co0nnection in the hotels so the blog is halted for the moment :(

The Negev Desert

Tel Aviv to Masada

After a very good flight with BMI we had a nightmare journey from the airport to our hotel in Tel Aviv due to a very dodgy sat nav

But in the morning we woke up to this view and a very hot, sunny day

We then drove to Masada, the last stronghold of the Zealots againts the Romans, a fantastic site with amazing views over the dead sea.

Tonight we are staying in in Mitzpe Ramon, in the Negev Desert.

A Jewish Wedding

Having been invited to a wedding in Eilat, Israel, we decided to take a few extra days to see more of the country and this is the record of our trip.

Our journey begins in Tel Aviv after a 5 hour flight from Heathrow with BMI, then to the ancient Stronghold of Masada, down to the desert and crater region of Mitzpe Ramon and finally down to Eilat on the Gulf of Aqaba where the wedding was to take place.
